Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)
A gentle treatment that uses the lining of the abdomen (peritoneum) to filter waste and fluid from the blood. It can be done manually during the day or automatically at night while the patient sleeps.
Hemodialysis (HD)
A widely used treatment where blood is circulated through a machine to remove waste, toxins, and excess fluids, then returned clean to the body. Typically done several times a week.
Hemodiafiltration (HDF)
An advanced therapy that combines hemodialysis and filtration to remove a broader range of toxins from the blood. It offers better clearance and can improve overall treatment outcomes.
Ultrafiltration (UF)
